Vintage Jasperware Blue White Button by legendary Shirley Shaw in 1983.  The button bears her name and date on the back. It will make a great addition to your button collection. It is from the Jane Scott Estate Collection.

Shirley Shaw & Stella Rzanski were sisters that began their button making career in 1972. Over the years they made many different types of buttons including Scrimshaw, Satsuma, China-painted Realistics, and Jasperware buttons.

The oval button measures1 5/8 inch x 1 inch. Classic blue and white color combination depicts a smiling cat kitten curled up on a braided rug. All buttons may show some minor signs of age and wear, as it is 41 years old. Overall, it is in nice condition.

Scanning and photographing buttons have distinct limitations in the areas of perspective, color, details, and dimensions. Thus, many buttons do not reveal their true character and appearance in the photos or scans.
