Pink & White Vintage Jasperware Button by legendary Stella Rzanski, made in 1988. The button bears her initials and date on the back. It will make a great addition to your button collection. It is from the Jane Scott Estate Collection.
The large round button measures1 ½ inch in diameter. Pink & white color combination depicts an Egyptian Pharaoh with a hissing snake wrapping around his head. There is a ring of leaves along the outer edge of the button. All buttons may show some minor signs of age and wear, as it is 26 years old. Overall, it is in nice condition.
Scanning and photographing buttons have distinct limitations in the areas of perspective, color, details, and dimensions. Thus, many buttons do not reveal their true character and appearance in the photos or scans.
Stella Rzanski & Shirley Shaw were sisters that began their button making career in 1972. Over the years they made many different types of buttons including Scrimshaw, Satsuma, China-painted Realistics, and Jasperware buttons.
