Pair Jasperware Buttons Shirley Shaw, Child Holding Doll, 1989

Pair, hard to find matching, Vintage Jasperware, Classic Blue & White Buttons by legendary Shirley Shaw, made in 1989.  The button bears her name and date on the back. It will make a great addition to your button collection. It is from the Jane Scott Estate Collection.

The round buttons measure 1 1/8  inch in diameter. The blue colors in the photo look as if they are different shades of blue, but in actuality they are very much similar. The classic blue & white color combination depicts a child, holding a doll with the head of a rocking horse in the background.  All buttons may show some minor signs of age and wear, as it is 25 years old. Overall, it is in nice condition.

Scanning and photographing buttons have distinct limitations in the areas of perspective, color, details, and dimensions. Thus, many buttons do not reveal their true character and appearance in the photos or scans.

Shirley Shaw & Stella Rzanski were sisters that began their button making career in 1972. Over the years they made many different types of buttons including Scrimshaw, Satsuma, China-painted Realistics, and Jasperware buttons.
